LCD Group financing helped bring Bennigans to Mandan, meet demand for casual dining

Bennigan’s, the international restaurant chain, opened its latest restaurant in northwest Mandan on August 20.

The Irish inspired restaurant helps fill an estimated $10 million demand for a sit down casual dining restaurant in Mandan. It also marks a major comeback for the chain, which had declared bankruptcy in 2008; but now, under the ownership of Legendary Restaurant Brands, has been opening new restaurants throughout the United States.

Starion Bank was the lead lender. Through the SBA 504 Loan program, Lewis & Clark Development Group provided 35 percent of the project’s financing.

“The SBA 504 loan was ideal for this project, which is exactly what the program was originally established to do: provide financing to small businesses for fixed assets,” observes Tracy Whitney, LCD Group SBA 504 loan officer.

The 5,500-square-foot restaurant employs around 75 employees. The menu features well-known Bennigan’s dishes such as their Monte Cristo, baby back ribs, crispy chicken sandwich, double-decker hamburger and an assortment of handcrafted specialty drinks in its Irish-styled pub.

The new Bennigan’s restaurant is conveniently located at at 1516 27th Street N.W. in Mandan right off of Interstate 94 and near Walmart and the Starion Sports Complex.
