LCD Group providing funding for construction of Mandan’s first crematorium

Construction is currently underway on a new location for DaWise-Perry Funeral Services. The locally-owned Mandan funeral home is moving to 4211 Old Red Trail. The new 13,000 square foot facility will allow the business to provide cremation services.

The Lewis & Clark Capital Fund Loan Committee and the North Dakota Opportunity Fund Loan Committee recently approved funding for portions of the financing of the project. The IRP MandanII Fund will be used for a portion of the construction and the North Dakota Opportunity Fund will be used for the Local Community Match for the Flex PACE Interest Buydown Program. Starion Bank is the lead lender on the project.

Mandan city ordinances require crematoriums to be located in an industrial zone. Wise admits that while the location was not his first choice, the larger facility will allow DaWise-Perry to better meet the demand for cremation services and accommodate a growing trend for having funeral services at funeral homes.
